    Job Description

    DLZ currently has a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator opening.  This position will be based in our Columbus, OH office and will require travel to our other offices.

     

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Assures the optimal functioning of DLZ facilities and building systems for multiple locations throughout the Midwest region.
    • Responsible for managing the maintenance and ensuring serviceability of mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, fire/life safety equipment, elevators, and all aspects of building operations.
    • Directly responsible for maintaining a comprehensive facilities maintenance program within the confines of an annual budget. This includes all heating, air conditioning, as well as the general maintenance and repair of all DLZ buildings and facilities. May be required to complete repairs personally when practical.
    • Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications and general projects, including estimates on equipment, labor materials, timelines/schedules of completion, and other related costs.
    • Maintains detailed knowledge of landlord responsibilities and lease agreements; ensures local property management adheres to lease obligations.
    • Maintains up to date records for all state, federal, and insurance semi-annual and annual inspections. Develops plans for fire evacuation and disaster response and recovery.
    • Acts as primary contact for local utility and service companies in matters that affect DLZ property.
    • Primary contact for landlord and property management companies regarding the repair, maintenance, and renovation of leased DLZ properties.
    • Responsible for maintaining programs to ensure visually appealing, safe, and serviceable building exteriors for all DLZ facilities, to include parking lots, loading docks, exterior lighting, etc.
    • Oversees the coordination of building space planning, allocation, and layout,
    • Oversees cleaning of DLZ facilities.
    • Prepares regular reports on facility conditions and required repairs by performing regular onsite audits and inspections.
    • Assists the Executive Vice President in the development and administration of annual facilities budget; prepares and analyzes facilities metrics reports for trends to improve efficiencies.
    • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements: 

    • Bachelor Degree in Facilities Management or related field.
    • 10 years or more of Facilities Management experience in an office or light industrial setting.
    • Knowledge of building regulatory/code requirements.
    • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings along with knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices.
    • Experience in maintenance trades; electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of employees up to and including senior management.
    • Computer skills required, ability to use Microsoft office products
    • Requires clean driving history and travel of up to 50%.
