    Job Description

    DLZ Corporation currently has an opening for a Right of Way Project Manager in our South Bend, IN office.


    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Manage direction of Right of Way property acquisition project planning, budgeting, scheduling and establishing critical project objectives.
    • Coordinate all client contact and maintain working relationship at all levels throughout the project.
    • Manage all project’s communications, database, meetings and reports.
    • Recruit and manage subcontractors as part of project teams.
    • Participate in public involvement meetings.
    • Initiate or assist in contract negotiations, preparation and closing.
    • Negotiate property rights with property owners.
    • Close real estate transactions.
    • Record transaction documents at County Records Office.
    • Conduct quality control review of acquisition package submittals.
    • Assist division manager in business development.
    • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
    • Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor degree in relevant field.
    • 5 - 10 years relevant work experience.
    • INDOT Prequalification’s including; Project Management, Negotiations and Closings, or ability to obtain, within 3 months.
    • Familiar with various acquisition submittal packages and forms.
    • Notary Public Certification preferred.
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills
    • Experience in a variety of project types, scale and complexity; following project from conception through completion.
    • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
