Job Description

DLZ Corporation currently has an exciting Administrative Professional / Clerical opportunity in Detroit, MI.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides office and clerical support including preparation of correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and slide presentations, receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing documents, and related duties including entering documents into project SharePoint sites
  • Provides administrative assistance and clerical support with regards to supplies/purchases to support project teams.
  • Works with vendors to support the office.
  • Receives and files all incoming and outgoing documentation.
  • Prepares and maintain files in accordance with project procedures.
  • Collects daily reports and maintains the Daily Report Log as necessary.
  • Assists in special reports as requested by the Business Unit staff and Project Team.
  • Organizes and schedules project related meetings, ensuring each meeting has an agenda and other meeting documents.
  • Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
  • Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of DLZ and its core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Engineering, Construction, Business, Communications, or Information Science.
  • 5 or more years administrative service experience in a professional office setting
  • Experience in filing systems, meeting minutes, RFI/Submittal and other Project logs and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Professional Office Suite particularly: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must possess a background to understand the terminology used in the office environment
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a very fast paced work environment and at times under the pressure of meeting critical deadlines
  • Must be a critical thinker, able to make quick decisions without constant direction Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Previous experience supporting large engineering or technical projects or programs preferred
