Job Description

DLZ Corporation currently has a Marketing Proposal Specialist opening in our Lansing, MI office.

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare client required documents, proposals, marketing reports/presentations from handwritten or rough draft formats.
  • Produce proposals, prequalification documents, and marketing brochures; hard copy and electronic documents.
  • Maintain DLZ branded marketing collateral in the course of proposal presentations.
  • Coordinate with other personnel to prepare standard proposal packages.
  • Understand, maintain, and utilize database management software in preparing high quality responsive proposals.
  • Maintain records for all business development activities.
  • Exercise judgment as to format, importance, and timeliness of assignments.
  • Draft miscellaneous letters, memorandums, and business development correspondence while maintaining corporate style guidelines.
  • Provide other executive administration support as needed.
  • Back up office administrative staff as needed.
  • Printing and assembling professional proposals using in-office technology.
  • Possess aptitude to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism or Science or relevant experience.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in a comparable administrative support position, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, with a strong eye for graphic composition.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relations Management (CRM) software applications. DELTEK experience is preferred.
  • Experience preparing Federal SF 330, state, local, and other miscellaneous proposal formats.
  • Proficiency with InDesign, Publisher, or similar desktop publishing or graphics design software desirable.
  • Familiar with reading/understanding RFP's, RFQ's, and RFI's.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.
